FBHI Logo - Nix's Mate
The historic 1800's day marker "Nix's Mate" is the symbol of the Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands. Nix's Mate was once an 11 acre island. It represents the vanishing heritage of the Boston Harbor Islands and the need of the Friends to help preserve and help with the conservation of the islands. Today Nix's Mate is listed as a National Register of Historic Places, thanks to the advocacy of the Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands.
