A VOYAGE BACK IN TIME TO GREAT BREWSTER ISLAND
July 20, 2024 – FBHI author volunteers presented a program onboard the MV Columbia Point about "A Boston Harbor Islands Adventure - The Great Brewster Journal of 1891." The book highlights a remarkable tale of four women who sojourn on Great Brewster in 1891. The tour had views of Long Island Head Light, Deer Island (aid-to-navigation), historic day-marker, Nixes Mate, Boston Light and Graves Light. Low tide also enabled views of the nearly 1.5 mile sandspit extending from Great Brewster Island.
Copies of the book are available online from History Press.
